The POWERbreathe EX1 is a hand-held, drug-free, expiratory muscle training (EMT) device, developed to improve your expiratory muscles’ strength, function, and endurance. It provides resistance as you breathe out through the device, making your expiratory muscles work harder to improve breathing strength.
The POWERbreathe EX1 uses the ‘pressure threshold’ method of breathing training, which is like weightlifting. You progressively adjust the ‘weight’ lifted to make your training harder (or easier) as your expiratory muscles become stronger.
