You don't have to suffer

Help for breathlessness is here

Breathing Rehabilitation

If you have been struggling with shortness of breath at rest or during activity, but don't seem to be getting answers, a comprehensive breathing assessment may be able to uncover the problem.  Our experienced therapists have spent years studying the impact of breathing on function and are up to date on the most recent evidence and assessment techniques.  During an assessment you can expect:
  • Review spirometry/lung function testing.  If no testing has been done, we can refer you for quick access spirometry testing
  • A complete a thorough evaluation to determine the source of your breathlessness, including a look at breathing chemistry, respiratory muscle strength and ultrasound imaging on diaphragm thickness
  • A comprehensive musculoskeletal exam  including looking at posture, movement patterns during activity and core strategies
  • Referral to a Voice Clinician when laryngeal (upper airway) dysfunction is suspected
  • Integrate a whole body approach to respiratory symptoms
  • Ensure appropriate asthma management is in place
We will work with you to optimize your breathing strategies and ensure this translates into improved function - whether at rest, during sport or at work. Contact us to find out how we can help.
