There is increasing evidence that even "mild" cases of Covid-19 can have some long standing effects, including:
- shortness of breath
- fatigue
- chest pain
- dizziness
- joint pain
- "brain fog" - cognitive dysfunction, poor concentration, memory lapse
The BREATHE program, which we are renaming Long COVID Connect, is an innovative program to help individuals manage the many symptoms of Long COVID. The program is facilitated by a team of individuals knowledgeable in Long COVID and other complex health conditions. We include individuals with lived experience as part of our team members. The program may be covered by extended health insurance, or subsidized for those without access to benefits. We will not turn anyone away due to financial barriers.
Topics covered by the program include:
Sessions are conducted via Zoom and runs for 10 weeks. Each week there will be pre-recorded content for you to watch at your own pace, and then a 90 minute live discussion once per week. All participants will have a 30 minute pre-screening video session with a physiotherapist prior to the start of the program.
